Interland (2021)

In 2021 I was invited to take part in a group exhibition at The Leyden Gallery, Aldgate, London. The exhibition was called 'Well, Well, Well' and artists were asked to respond to the pandemic lockdown.

I had already been working on some interpretations of drawings by Artist Levin Pfeufer, most of whihc had been created during the pandemic, and we decided to use them for a collaborative installation, showing as part of the exhibition.

Interland is pieced together by a series of individual drawings (Levin) and 3d interpretations of same (Karen). Although the pieces work on their own, they have been paired in twos as ‘lots’ making up the complete Interland.

Interland was created during the pandemic, with several of the pieces making reference to it, some in obvious ways and other more subtly.
